"They're all so....orange!"

Last week while at Wal Mart (yes, we live at Wal Mart), Reese spotted the pumpkins. We've been trying to plan a trip to the pumpkin patch so I told her that we wouldn't be buying any pumpkins from Wal Mart. Shortly after we got home, Chet came home for lunch, and Reese greeted him with, "Daddy, we're going to get pumpkins at the pumpkin patch!" Weekends continue to come and go and we have yet to get to the pumpkin patch....until today. And although, we didn't make the trip to the patch we had planned to go to, a local church's served its purpose.

Reese was so excited when we got there, she just started running!

Maybe this one? Nope, too heavy!
How about this big one? Errr!
She apparently was feeling a bit overwhelmed because after being there for about 5 minutes (which must have felt like an hour to her) she stopped in her tracks and said, "They're all so....(long pause)....orange!"
Then, she found what she was looking for.....

ones her size!

Cru would like this one.

Or maybe this one. She'd pick one up, put it down, pick one up, put it down.

Cru guarded the chosen ones

and Reese did more browsing.

And there on top of the hay, Reese found the prettiest, best pumpkin ever (in her eyes).

She said she found it "in the bird's nest."

Like I said before, we weren't at the pumpkin patch we had planned to visit, but in the end, it doesn't matter. What matters is Reese picked out her favorite pumpkins and had a blast doing it

despite it only being 30-some degrees.
