Good Bye, February....

February is always a busy month for us and goes way to fast....birthdays, Valentine's, tax season in full swing, Saturday morning basketball, and everything else in between.

Here's a little recap....

The kids celebrated Grandparent's day at school.  Our kids are blessed with two wonderful, loving sets of grandparents.  We were just sad only one set was able to attend.

This was on a Friday, which is a non school day for the little man, so needless to say, he was beyond excited to go!  And a big thanks to my awesome dad, who had to spent the first hour with both kids by himself, which just happened to be during mass; if anyone can wrangle handle them, it's him!

Besides celebrating Evee and Cru's birthday, we also celebrate Grandma Mary's!

She turned 83 this year!

No month is complete without a little naughtiness....

My mom and I took Reese and Cru to see You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which was put on by the high school.  It was fantastic!!  We sat in the front row, and the kids never moved, except when Reese was dancing!

My business has been exceptionally busy, which I am very thankful for.  I had one order this month for 50 tie dye headbands that are being auctioned off to support Color Runs across the U.S.  In case you haven't heard of the Color Run, it's a 5K race where you wear all white and you're doused with powdered color throughout the race.  It's considered one of the funnest races.  I have yet to run in one, but it's definitely on my list!

And speaking of races, my friend, Mindy, and I ran in a 5k one blistering cold morning.  It was probably some of the coldest conditions we have ran in.  No lie!  We usually run as a trio, however, Tiff had to attend a funeral that day.

We needed way more than our festive socks to keep us warm that morning.  A margarita at lunch finally did the trick!

Now that tax season is in full swing....

Pigtails and sunshine definitely help this mama smile while doing her best to survive the long days.

They have the best time exploring our back yard!

But I should have known just about the time Mr. Groundhog declared we would have an early spring, winter showed up....

And after being snowed in for six days, enough was enough for some of us!

Others made the most of it!

Now that March is here, at least we don't have any more 8:30am Saturday morning basketball games!

Yes, I just said that.  More to come about bball.  Photo taken by Kendal Shaw.

And more to come on our little man turning 4!

We are celebrating ninja turtle style this weekend!  Cowabunga, dude!

And happy March!

Go Fight Win

Just before Christmas break, Reese ran out of school suuuper excited, hopped in the van, and said, "I brought home something reeeealy girlie and super fun!"

It was time for another cheer clinic!

Apparently, Reese's friend, Reanna, was excited too!

Little sister was in charge of videoing...

She thinks she's big girl, ya know!

I have a feeling she'll love these clinics as much as big sister!  She yelled, "Go, Fight, Win!" (arm actions and all) from afar, and it took somewhat of a full body restraint to keep her off the floor!

A few days after the clinic, they performed at the high school basketball game.  She seemed a bit nervous beforehand saying her tummy hurt, shedding a couple tears, and claiming she didn't know the dance.  But, thankfully, the nerves lasted about two seconds!

I told her to go out there and shake what her mama gave her!  You should have seen the look she gave me....like I was crazy or something!  Seriously, the girl has moves, just a little shy about showing them off.

Reese's friends, Ellie and Addie

Make your Daddy happy and keep those moves private....FOREVER!!

Love you, sweet girl!  So proud of you!

Happy ♥ Day!

We kicked off Valentine's festivities on Tuesday with Reese's class party.  It's really hard thinking of cute Valentine's that don't involve candy.  This is what we came up with this year...

They read, "Valentine...you're a star in my eyes."

And she gave her teacher flowers...

Super cute, easy twist on a plain vase of flowers.

Evee and I helped with her party.  Everlee always makes herself feel right at home where ever she goes.

The moms that were in charge of the games did a fantastic job!

Heart puzzles...

 Hersey kiss relay....

Chop stick/conversation heart fun...

The game took some concentration...

There was a little bit of strategy to it, and once Reese figured it out, she kicked butt!

Everlee sat very patiently eying the candy....and stealing Josiah's chop sticks!  He was so sweet to her though.  Even showed her how to play.

Eventually, her patience paid off!

Thankful to spend the morning with my big girl!

And the kids had a blast! Cru joined when he got out of school.

I signed up to help with Cru's party too, which was on actual Valentine's Day.  Reese didn't have school that day, so I had two extra helpers!

But before the party, the girls enjoyed a special treat that Daddy left for them (Cru missed out because Mommy overslept!).

They also found some other goodies that awaited them!

I failed at the non-candy treats for Cru's classmates...

But I could care less because look how cute these are!!!  Not to mention easy!  Probably my new go-to valentine.

His class may be ornery, but dang, they are cute!!!

Once again, Evee felt right at home....

Prying her away from those babies proved to be very difficult!

Let the games begin!!!

My child LOVED the balloons!  And I think every child loved when it was time to pop them in exchange for a piece of candy!!!

They finished up with duck, duck, goose valentine, valentine, candy!

I am very thankful, yet again, that I was able to spend my morning at school with these kiddos!  Such sweet times!

After school, we hurried down town to surprise Daddy with balloons!

The kids picked out what they wanted to give him: Reese - KSU, Cru - baseball, but it was all out, then he picked football, and Evee - Scooby Doo.

We had a wonderful rest of the day complete with surprises and goodies from grandmas and grandpas!

Can't think of any other little valentines I'd rather spend my day with ♥♥♥

Even if they do drive me just a tiny bit crazy!!!
