Waaaaay back in May, we discovered Cru's first loose teeth.  Yes, teeth.  Started with two, then there were three.

Fast forward to November.

Still three loose teeth.

Honestly, I figured he'd have three visits from the tooth fairy under his belt by now.  He has refused to wiggle any of them.  He said he's scared it will hurt.

The week before Thanksgiving, while looking at noticeably crooked tooth, I was surprised to see his permanent tooth was already in.  I knew then the tooth needed to come out, like yesterday.  I did my best to motivate him...donuts, toys, extra money because the tooth fairy "will think you are SOOO brave"...none of it worked.  So, I called the dentist.  They confirmed it needed to come out!

We spent the weekend wiggling....as much as he would let me.  Yes, I'm doing all the wiggling.  Chet doesn't "do" teeth.

Cru cried.  A lot.

I threatened.  A lot.  Mommy or the dentist...you choose!

Monday of Thanksgiving week, it still wasn't out.  I called the dentist back.  They couldn't get him in until the following Wednesday.

Our new deadline.

Thanksgiving prep kept us busy, so wiggling was put on the back burner.  But the tooth was looking even more crooked, so I knew it was looser.

Thanksgiving night, he asked to sleep in my room.  Actually, he pretended to not feel good so he could sleep in my room since Reese was staying at Grandma and Grandpa's.  I made him a deal that he could sleep in my room if he wiggled his tooth.

It was probably about 10:00pm, when he came walking out of my room with his hand over his mouth.

"Ummm, I think I have a problem.  I need your help."

I thought he was asleep!

Then I thought maybe he really was sick.

Turns out, he followed through with his end of the deal and had wiggled his tooth right out!  Well, it was kind of still dangling, and I actually thought he was going to swallow it, but ended up pulling it right out without my help!

Pretty sure I have never seen him so proud ♥

Grandma Cheryl made him this AWESOME tooth pillow the last time she was home....finally, ready to use it!

So, Thanksgiving night 2014, not only was the tooth fairy visiting, but Polle was due back!

Polle and the tooth fairy partied!  Polle said he would watch over Cru's money ;)

Polle left Cru a trail of cotton balls from my room to Cru's room for Cru to follow when he woke up...

The tooth fairy also reminded Cru to pick up his room!  He's usually the clean one!

^^^Like he's never seen money before^^^

Loving the little man's new smile!

Probably won't look like this for long...he's got some tooth pulling confidence now :)

Final Flag Football

Here are some highlights from Cru's last couple flag football games.  He seemed to really enjoy playing.  Hesitant and not overly aggressive (surprise, surprise), but had fun none the less.

His buddy, Dane, making a run.

We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather this fall, except for one Saturday....brrrr!

Fake handoff...Coach Treg had all sorts of trick plays up his sleeve!

Another buddy, Asher, making a run!

Got a flag!

Sisters braving the cold one morning...

Since Cru had to miss the last game because of his soccer commitment, we took some team pictures at their last practice....

Coaching these five and six year olds was no easy task!  Thankful for Treg and his time and patience.  Thankful for Chet!  For once again, wanting to be part of our kids' activities.

Last Soccer Saturday....

for the fall.

He had some special fans at his first game ♥

This game got TENSE.  That's putting it mildly.  One of our boys, who is definitely not a malicious player, accidentally knocked a player down from the other team.  Well, some mama from the other team went NUTS!  Yelling and screaming AT OUR KIDS! It was one of the most pathetic things I have seen a parent do.  Some of our parents began yelling back at her to quit yelling at the kids.  Then the referee made some bonehead calls...rather lack there of....she was completely frazzled.  And lost all control of the game.  Our coach is intense, but it's a good intense, and boy, was he FIRED UP!  Threw his hat on the ground a couple times, yelled plenty.  And this all happened before half time!

Head officials showed up at half time.  Parents from both sides went to plead their team's case.  Ref was still completely out of sorts.

Second half started, lead officials stayed at our field the rest of the game to monitor.  We were down 3-4, I believe??

Both teams and coaches were still very much, lets just say, ENERGIZED!  HEATED!!!  When they would score, they would intentionally look at our sideline and cheer overly loud.  Again, pathetic.

And with less than five minutes left in the game, one of our players scored THREE GOALS IN A ROW! The last one in the last minute of the game, and we won by one!  It was SO AWESOME!

Whoa, used WAY too many capital letters!  Much needed though!

A little victory run through the tunnel....

Cru was excited to see Charlee after the game!

We got to enjoy lunch with Ty, Audrey, Charlee, and Bonnie before the second game.

Gosh, I love all those kids ♥

Onto game two....

Coin toss...Cru is right next to #5.

Thatcher arrived...

Evee had to make herself fancy for him!

I can't remember the final score of this game...we kicked butt!  Cru scored.  I was not prepared....it was somewhat of a break away goal.  I switched my camera to video as fast as I could and this is what I got...

Haha!

Cru plays defense.  He doesn't get many opportunities to score.  Feel like I've shared this before, but oh well.  Anyways, he's got a strong, accurate foot and he's fast, so the coach would like him to play forward, but like I've said, he freezes.  Collision, aggression, he does not like it.  Although, he has no problem playing that way in practice.  I don't get.  And I get very frustrated.  But I have to remind myself, he's five.  It'll come, maybe.  But despite that, we are SO proud!

Another victory, another run through the tunnel!

Pretty much all the teams they played were older, six and seven year olds.  All of Cru's teammates are six except him and one other boy, so for them to go 5-3 in the league their first time playing, that's a huge success!  To celebrate, they had a pizza party and "fun" practice the following Monday.

Beckett, Ben, Dmitry, Mara, Manny, Cru, Nemith (sp??), and Cole

It was a great fall! But we are definitely enjoying our break :)
