Instead of buying gifts for Reese and Cru's neighborhood friends, last year they started a tradition of getting the kiddos together to decorate cookies. What a fantastic idea! I'm so happy we're in our house and able to be part of it this year.
The kids had play time before the Christmas festivities began. Check out these handsome young men - Asher, Cru, Hunter, and Cole.
It's another little person like me!
And he's off!
Unbeknownst to him, Asher was a bit exposed....Mommy to the rescue, Cru supervising!
Finally pried the big kids away from the toys for a group shot - Carter with little brother Asher, Reanna with little brother Hunter, Reese with little brother Cru, and Mallori with little brother Cole.
Knock, knock! We have a visitor!
And he brought presents!
Even while opening her present, Reese's eyes never left Santa.
New books for everyone!
Apparently, Santa didn't check his list twice because we don't allow purple in our house. Guess we'll let it slide just this time.
In the midst of all the Santa craze and ripping open gifts, I looked across the room and saw Asher chompin' away.
This was as close as Reese would get to the jolly fella. And Cru immediately freaked when I put him on his lap. It's so sad that Santa is such a good man, yet some kids are so deathly afraid of him.
Cookie decorating time!
Reese and Reanna - who needs frosting!
Yummy works of art.
Finally, supper was done and Reese could enjoy her cookie!
Chet asked her for a bite, and she have him a sprinkle :)
Cru enjoyed a little more than a sprinkle.
Enjoying some new reading material....thanks Santa!
We feel so fortunate to live in such a great neighborhood with great families. You'll want to tune in this weekend because it's the adults turn to have a little Christmas fun!
