31 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How far along: 31 weeks....down the stretch we come! We start going to the doctor every two weeks now!
Size of baby: Over 16 inches long and 3.3 pounds
Total weight gain: 27 pounds
Maternity clothes: Both maternity and regular
Gender: ?
Movement: Lots!
Sleep: Sleeping like crap
Symptoms: I think my body has finally figured out it's 31 weeks pregnant because I am exhausted, uncomfortable, and swollen. My B12 level must be really low because I have to go in every week for B12 shots :(
What I miss: I love being pregnant, but when my belly is so big it pushes everything up into my lungs making it hard to breath and it cuts off all circulation from the waist down, I kinda start missing my old body.
Cravings: Sour candy
Best moment of the week: Watching Reese fall in love with Santa.
What I'm looking forward to: Holiday festivities!

Rewind

We had something going on every day/evening last week, and the same goes for this week. So lets rewind a bit....

My dad's business, Dirt Cheap Banner & Signs, recently moved to a new location, so to celebrate that move and get the word out, last Thursday morning he hosted the weekly chamber coffee at his new building. He had a great turn out, and people were able to look around while sipping on coffee and eating cinnamon rolls :)

(My dad with his workers, Matt and Adam)

That same evening, the kids had their annual Santa in the hood. It seems like with the cold weather and all the holiday craziness, we go weeks without seeing each other, so this is always a good time for the kids to get together and play and make treats and most importantly receive a special visit from Santa. I would say Reese gets "most improved player" from last year. She loved the big guy! Cru, on the other hand, was scared out of his mind. By the end of the night, I was beyond exhausted and I could barely peel my boots and jeans off my legs they were so swollen. All worth it though, I think.

Daddy snapped a few pics before we left....

Making reindeer cookies.

Some just skipped right to the eating.

All the kids minus Cru....he still was wanting no part of Santa.

Santa brought Reese a really cool princess book that came with a big princess map and all the little princesses. When Cru is down for his nap, we've been escaping to her room for princess fun!

I think the baby's enjoyed playing princesses too.

Friday night was the adult neighborhood Christmas get together. Remember last year......

Not as many people could come this year, so we opted for just good food and good company, but by the end of the night, we decided ugly sweaters were definitely needed again next year.

Saturday was freezing! But that didn't stop us from getting out; Reese and I went to see Tangled. And as an added treat, Grammi joined us. It was a great movie! Reese LOVED it! At the end of it, she whispered to Grammi that she wanted a Rapunzel, Eugene, and horse for her birthday.

As soon as the movie was over, we ran home to get Daddy, Cru, and Grandpa, then took off for El Dorado to spend the evening celebrating Uncle Ty's birthday. He made yummy chili for all of us, and of course, we enjoyed some quality time with Charlee.

Whew! So I think that's all of it, at least until tomorrow evening. Hope you all have a wonderful week! Can't believe Christmas is almost here!

Beware of the stache and his little hiney

We've had A LOT going on lately with more to come! Needless to say, I'm exhausted, which makes me feel even more pregnant than I am. And to make things worse, by the time I finally sit down at night, my ankles are huge :( I was hoping for a non-swelling pregnancy. Hopefully, it doesn't worsen and turn into what it did with Reese. Butt I'm not going there yet. Enough of the pity party. For now, because I barely have enough energy to write this post and Reese is begging me to play princesses, I'll leave you with how we ended our evening last night.....

More to come!

I like to move it, move it

Reese has been attending her new dance class for several weeks now. She really likes it, I think. I just go by what she says, which is all good, however, I have yet to see for myself. Until today! Because they were having a shorter class, I asked if I could just stay and watch. Little man joined me and all eyes were on the girls.

As the girls were getting ready for class to begin, some of them (ok, who am I kidding, pretty much all of them) were running around the room chasing each other and screaming, except my Reesey. Could have been because I was there, but also that's just who she is, just kinda sits back, takes it all in, and does her own thing.

I beamed the entire class. I love watching these little girls, especially my little girl.

Reese hasn't shared a lot of details of what goes on at class, but normally, I hear they didn't do somersaults (which she is deathly afraid of doing), they jumped, and she's usually singing "Move It" (a song from Madagascar, one of her favorite movies, which I figured they were just buggying to). Much to my surprise, they've already been learning a routine to that song.

These girls were sure movin' it!

They also danced to "Under the Sea."

I couldn't believe how much of their routines they already knew in such a short amount of time. It was great!

So happy I was able to watch today. Made me want to get up and move it myself.

30 weeks

In the two seconds it took for me to take this belly shot, Cru was up to no good.

Yeah you, buddy!

Hey, at least it was all outside the toilet.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 30 weeks.....nearing the end....the weeks just keep passing by faster and faster.
Size of baby: almost 3 pounds and over 15 inches long
Total weight gain: 24 pounds
Maternity clothes: Both
Gender: ???
Movement: Lots! Reese just loves feeling it!
Sleep: Sleeping good
Symptoms: Braxton hicks
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings: Just about anything..... I AM STARVING! My food intake has been somewhat limited lately because I had a tooth flare up over the weekend (no, not because of all the cherry laffy taffy I've been indulging in the past few weeks). Thankfully, I don't have to have any work done, just taking antibiotics, and hopefully things will be back to normal SOON!
Best moment of the week: Sunday - although I had no sleep the night before because of my tooth, I received an email that day that made me so proud Reese. Also, Chet was super helpful that day - waking up with the kids, making waffles for everyone, doing some laundry, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and entertaining the kids. Thank you, babe!
What I'm looking forward to: All the holiday festivities coming up! Oh yeah, and my hair appointment....I can't wait to chop this mop!

And in other news, Miss Reese went to the eye doctor for the first time today. She's been telling me for days that her eyes "feel fine." I was a bit worried how it might go.....

We had quite a wait for the doctor. I could tell she was getting a little bored.....

and a little irritated.....

We found ways to pass the time though.....

And when the doctor finally came in, Reese blew me away with how grown up she was.

I just sat back and took it all in.....

And the best part, so far Reese's eyes are not following in her mom and dad's footsteps, meaning her eyes are great!

All eye doctor pictures taken with my phone....sorry for the quality.....had to capture the moment though.
