Happy Birthday, America!

Hard to believe it's been a month since we celebrated the 4th of July!

What's not hard to believe is that I'm a month behind blogging about it :)

We had our annual Foxfire Water War earlier during the day. Chet took the older two, and I stayed home while Everlee napped. It's always a good time! Mindy took some great pictures....you can check them out here!

After the water war, we headed to the pond, like we do every year. Not sure there's any other place I'd rather celebrate!

Watching Uncle Jeff feed the catfish

Cousins ♥

Charlee Mae....you look guilty!

I was a bit nervous how Everlee may react to all the loud noises, but none of it phased her one bit.

Reese was excited about it ALL, to say the least!

And, it was no surprise that Cru was scared of it ALL!

And Charlee, well, she was pretty oblivious to it ALL!

Wheel size round of black cats....

20 minutes of it gets to be a bit LOUD!!!!

My cousin, Amanda, bought lanterns for Reese....her favorite!

We got home from the pond pretty late, but our neighborhood was still hopping, so we decided to join in on the fun and set off some of our bigger firecrackers....daddy splurged this year!

For My Records

I took Reese for her six year well check yesterday. That's right, this mama was actually ahead of schedule instead of five months behind!

Actually, she needed her physical form filled out before she can start kindergarten :)

You'd think I'd be nervous setting foot back in the office after our last visit, but not with my big girl; she makes life a breeze! Plus, she was seeing my friend and PA, Melisa, so I knew she would feel comfortable.

Her appointment was in the afternoon, and literally all morning, she kept asking what would happen if she's not healthy? I blew her off the first few times and told her she's healthy and there's nothing to worry about, but when she continued to ask, I began to ask myself the same question, "What if she isn't healthy?"

Numerous scenarios ran through my head and finally I just said a little prayer.

In the words of 50 Cent, "Either pray or worry....don't do both." I loved when he said this during his interview with Oprah.

And then I stopped worrying.

And she's healthy!

48 pounds (75%)
47 inches (75%)

And she's going to be six in 29 days!!!!!

And start kindergarten in two weeks!!!

Tball 2012

Tball season came and went way too fast this year.

Last year, our season was filled with dirt twirling, timidness, and lots of complaining, but this year, there were smiles, effort, and maybe even a little bit of talent....I mean at times the girl actually looked like she knew what she was doing! It's amazing what a year of maturity does!

Love having Daddy help coach!

On the way to every game, we would tell her to run fast because last year she would just twiddle her way down to first, and this year, she actually RAN!

Papa's pep talks are the best!

It definitely made for a fun season with good friends on our team!

Mallorie, Reese, and Addi

Mal and Reese

And boy, did Reese's friends bring their A game in the fashion department!

Daddy coaching Addi

Addi's dad is a football coach....wonder if this is the game face he teaches her at home?!

It's a good thing Reese's friends have fun little siblings otherwise Cru and Everlee might have been bored this season!

Karlie, Cru, and Cole

Cole, Colt, and Cru

Karlie and Everlee sharing snacks

Colt and Evee ♥

Cru could always count on Colt bringing his cars

Cru, Colt, Cole, and Karlie....could possibly be my favorite picture!

And speaking of siblings....

Never a dull moment!

Thanks to Reese's #1 fans for coming to each game, cheering on our girl, and helping with the Littles! We love you all very much!

And to our sweet Reesee....so what if you missed a base or two.....

We are so proud of your enthusiasm and positive attitude above anything else that you showed each game....

Even if the biggest smiles came at the end of the game once you received your snack!

Can't wait for coach pitch next year....Daddy get to practicing!!!

Evee

I wanted to document a few things that Everlee is doing right now before I forget.

  • She sleeps great! Takes one long nap a day, averages around three hours. She goes down each night 9-10pm and wakes 8-9am. We put her down awake and never ever fusses.
  • She loves shoes and is already very opinionated on what pair she wears!
  • Her pacis and her raggies are her lovies. We may have a hard time breaking her of those :/

  • She loves, loves, loves the water! Loves the bath, loves sprinklers, loves grandma and grandpa's pool, loves our plastic pool, loves the toilet....anything with water!

  • She eats anything and everything just like her sister.
  • She's always been very friendly, although recently she's become increasingly shy and scared of strangers, especially men. And if she's in an unfamiliar place and you walk away from her, she gets very scared, panics, and cries.
  • She is a climber! We recently found her on top of the toilet playing with the kleenexes! She can even climb up onto our tall chairs and bar stools!

  • She has suddenly become a talker. Well, she's always been a talker, but now we can actually understand her! Some of her words are mom, dad, sissy, bubba, eese (Reese), puppy, meow, bows :), wassat (what's that), Edee (Evee), poopy, peese (please), thank you, hot, teeth, ball, ouch, ouchy, hot dog, night-night, hi, bye, unh-uh (and shakes her head no). And she puts two words together, like when Reese walks up the stairs each morning, she runs to her and says, "Hi Sissy!"
  • She is very loving....always wants to give hugs and kisses ♥

  • She has several nicknames - Evee, Ev, Ev Doodle, Doodle (Cru's favorite), Boo Boo
  • She wants to do EVERYTHING the big kids do!

We love you so much, Everlee! And love all the joy and laughter and sloppy kisses you have brought to our family!
