Reese, put your lip gloss away!

The day he learns how to take the lid off and put it on his lips is the day Chet will probably fire me as a stay-at-home-mom.

Our pumpkins have transformed....pictures coming soon!

"They're all so....orange!"

Last week while at Wal Mart (yes, we live at Wal Mart), Reese spotted the pumpkins. We've been trying to plan a trip to the pumpkin patch so I told her that we wouldn't be buying any pumpkins from Wal Mart. Shortly after we got home, Chet came home for lunch, and Reese greeted him with, "Daddy, we're going to get pumpkins at the pumpkin patch!" Weekends continue to come and go and we have yet to get to the pumpkin patch....until today. And although, we didn't make the trip to the patch we had planned to go to, a local church's served its purpose.

Reese was so excited when we got there, she just started running!

Maybe this one? Nope, too heavy!
How about this big one? Errr!
She apparently was feeling a bit overwhelmed because after being there for about 5 minutes (which must have felt like an hour to her) she stopped in her tracks and said, "They're all so....(long pause)....orange!"
Then, she found what she was looking for.....

ones her size!

Cru would like this one.

Or maybe this one. She'd pick one up, put it down, pick one up, put it down.

Cru guarded the chosen ones

and Reese did more browsing.

And there on top of the hay, Reese found the prettiest, best pumpkin ever (in her eyes).

She said she found it "in the bird's nest."

Like I said before, we weren't at the pumpkin patch we had planned to visit, but in the end, it doesn't matter. What matters is Reese picked out her favorite pumpkins and had a blast doing it

despite it only being 30-some degrees.

Posin'

Every Wednesday before dance class once Reese has her leotard, tights, and tu-tu on, she wants to practice her freeze dance poses and take pictures. I thought I'd share some.

The "Oh no she didn't"

The "Hold up, lets try that one again."

The "Drama Queen"

The "Go Team!"

The "I gotta go, Cru's got my toys"

The "Superstar"

The "I'll put on my angel face as I plot in my head"

The "I'm the cutest ballerina ever"

My personal favorite, the "Best Big Sister"

Out with the old, in with the new

Teeth that is.

Today, I found out I have to get my wisdom teeth out (ASAP since half of one broke off this weekend). And Cru had tooth #3 (top left) pop thru (#4 probably not far behind). Cru was having no part of the picture taking of the new tooth so instead I thought I'd share some from his dinner time tonight.

His messy face and messy hair were too cute not to share.

Not sure what tasted better, the sweet potatoes or the spoon.

As usual, things just got messier - his face, my clothes, the floor.

But his smiles (in between throwing the spoon and screaming) made the mess (briefly) disappear.

Pizza (lunchable) time!

Bribing Rewarding your kids, or at least my child, is a must! There are times when there's no other way to get her to behave. For example, the other day I had to make a quick run to Wal Mart, although with kids, is a trip to Wal Mart ever quick? Anyways, before we left, I told Reese that if she behaved, she could have a surprise for lunch. Her response, "Peanut butter and jelly?" Her favorite and what she eats pretty much every day. Nope! Usually, she'd get chicken nuggets or a hamburger, however I decided to switch things up.....pizza lunchables! I thought they would be fun and maybe a little healthier than fast food and also because they sounded good to me. Thank you Reese! You behaved so you (and Mommy) were rewarded.

She was so excited to be making her own pizza! She used every single piece of cheese!

Ready to dig in!

Mmm, savor the flavor!

These will definitely be a reward in the future!

Happy Birthday Aunt Casyn!

We're a few days late, but it's never too late to celebrate! We love you Aunt Casyn, and we hope you had a great 17th birthday!

It was great to see Aunt Cheyna as well, miss college athlete and social butterfly!
We also had fun spending time and catching up with Auntie Chancey....wish we could see you more often!

Betsy Crocker is back!

This time she's hard at work helping make monster cookies before bed.

When she woke up the next morning, no hug, no good morning just, "Are the m & m cookies done?"
