The week is half over!

It's 2:00....

Why of course I do. Reese is following me down the hallway helping me close all the bedroom doors so Cru can't get into any trouble. And Cru....well, he's.....uh.....Reese, where's Cru?

Uh, here he is, Mom.



So, I ask again, it's 2:00, do you know where all of your children are?

CRU-ising along

Cru seems to be getting more and more comfortable on his feet. Even doing a little multitasking - "talking" while walking.

Doesn't he look cute still sportin' the Christmas pj's?

And can you believe he's going to be 1 Friday?!

Chet's truck was parked in our drive way all day, however, he was not here, and every single time we pulled into the drive way (we ran lots of errands today!) Reese would ask if Daddy was home.

I told her repeatedly he wasn't home, and he wouldn't be home until she was in bed.

Before bath time, we (Reese, Cru, and I) were playing in Reese's room, and she kept looking out her window asking if Daddy was here now. After telling her no over and over and over again, she asked if Daddy was out walking (duh....his truck is here, but he's not).

Me: No, he's riding (in the car) with a friend.

Reese: A friend? What friend?

Me: Michael.

Reese: (as serious as serious can be) Michael Jackson???

I would have fallen to the floor laughing if I hadn't already been sitting on the floor.

Yes, she is smart, but man, she is observant and picks up on way more than I think!

Late valentine's post

So, I'm finally getting around to posting about Valentine's Day.



We had a good day.



Went to church, had lunch with my parents, then had supper with Chet's parents.



The kids probably thought it was Christmas all over again.....spoiled, spoiled, spoiled!



Reese was beyond excited when Daddy surprised her with flowers.



It's not that I don't like Valentine's day, I just think it's kinda silly. Yes, it's nice to show and receive extra love, but why do we need a special day for that? To me it's love when Chet picks a random day in the middle of the week to have his parents watch the kids so we can have a meal alone.



However, it's also love when I get a card full of these



so I can buy this!



What a sweet surprise! I'm still in shock and very, very giddy. Just wait kiddos, you think I take a lot of pictures now!

Seriously, weather?

by nearly reaching 50 degrees this weekend.



Yes, no socks or tights required!



It was a tad windy



but the sun was radiant.



Yet, you are such a tease



dropping 20 degrees in 24 hours.



We do live in Kansas though



so we take what we can get.
