Soccer: Week 1

Reese and Cru started soccer last week. Not quite sure what to say about it....

Reese was very reserved, worried about not knowing how to play, and worried someone might kick her, so imagine how surprised I was when she went with her group without hesitation and participated like she's been playing since she was three, like a lot of the players.

Definitely helped having friends, Mallorie and Addi, in her group and having Molly as her coach!

Cru was pumped! He talked all day about how hard he was going to kick the ball, so imagine how surprised I was when we got there and he was all talk and no game!

Every time we'd convince him to go play, he'd participate for a few minutes, then run back to us.

Then, we'd convince him to go play again, and he'd come running for a water break (he took about 50 of those!).

Day two proved to pretty much be the same....Reese complained that soccer is too hard, she doesn't want to play anymore, and her shin guards are too tight. I actually threatened to leave her at home with a babysitter, which she was happy about. Once we were at the field though, she was in her zone again.

She participates so well. And when that hour is up, she talks non-stop about how much fun it was and how she won games!

So proud of her!

Cru, yet again, was all talk and no game! I get really, really frustrated with him. And to make matters worse, when he finally does decide to participate, his group is out of control!!!

He and another kid crashed, big time! He never went back out on the field after that....except to get his yellow shirt.

One good thing though is when his group is done for the night, he's still in a good mood and says he had so much fun. I don't get it though, maybe he's just too young. Or maybe he's just a big wienie. I won't last two nights a week for a month of this though!

Happy Weekend....just some random pics

Reese is going to be the flower girl in my cousin, Amber's, wedding in two weeks!

A birthday celebration for Grandma Cheryl!

Playing some ball with Auntie Casyn....in style, of course!

Our littlest rock chalker!

Could be the most adorable outfit ever :)

It's Easter time again, which means I turn into a crazy, mad woman trying to get one stinkin' picture of my kids all dressed up in their Easter outfits. I spent two days last week trying to accomplish that task, and this is what I got.....

Day 1:

This one would have been descent if Reese didn't look constipated.

Love Everlee looking at Cru.

The wet grass on his feet REALLY bothered him.

Day 2:

Everlee did not cooperate AT ALL this day.....Coy did not help matters and neither did the wind blowing the sheet off the fence.

Everlee!!! Where are you going?

Exactly, Everlee!

It was hell! I'm over it.

Pretty sure I need to conclude this post on a good note.....

I'd like to note that Reese was such a good girl while taking pictures....marshmallows mean a lot to her :)

Spring Break Excitement

Last week was spring break, and it rained every day except Friday. It really put a damper on our week, so when we woke up to sunshine Friday morning, my mom and I thought it would be a great day to have some fun! So, we loaded up the kids, made plans with my brother, and took off for Wichita.

Turns out because of all that rain, my brother had to work all day on the baseball fields, so he and Charlee weren't able to meet us. I'm sure my kids won't oppose planning another trip to see them.

Reese is an old pro at Build-A-Bear....

And Cru is quickly following in her footsteps....

This was Evee's first time....

Good thing she has a very helpful sister....

I think it was love at first sight....

Picking out clothes is always a hard decision for Reese, but Cru knew exactly what he wanted - a hoodie, shades, and he insisted on a purse.....

Yes, a purse....for himself! He's cool like that. Actually, everything he picked out, he thought was for himself; he even started taking off his own clothes to put theirs on!

What a kid!

It was a great way to get out of the house after a long, rainy week inside! And now we have new members of our already out-of-control stuffed animal collection - Elliott, Delgato, and Bunny.

31

Turning 31 consisted of getting some new ink with my friend, Tiff!

means patience....something I desperately need!

Turning 31 consisted of a celebration date to PF Changs and 21 Jump Street with my main man.

For the record, I was dressed first!

Turning 31 consisted of family and cake!

Chet's family has cake and candles for every birthday no matter who or their age....I love that!

Turning 31 consisted of a little pampering, thanks to Grammie!

Can't wait until Everlee can join us!

Turning 31 consisted of colored skinnies!!!! Another thanks to Grammie (and Papa)!

Anyone else been dying for a pair of these?!

Best of all, turning 31 consisted of love, happiness, and a jayhawk victory!
